Bowling Green, Kentucky March 24-25, 2007

American Motorcycle Racing Association (AMRA) National Event

Bowling Green’s Beech Bend Raceway in Kentucky is a great facility and we had a great time!

This season finds Maus (the photographer) unable to take as many pictures as in the past, but she will try to start being better (hopefully by June).  She did catch one shot of with Shane Pendergrast (below left) and Chip about to stage (below right) for the first round of qualifying on Saturday.

We had a great time at Bowling Green and look forward to thumping down their quarter mile again in June 2007.  We entered three classes – the Eliminator Class (name-your-index class), the Pro Eliminator Class (10.90 second class), and the Street Eliminator Class (11.50 second index).  We did not have the speed that we had in the cool-weathered Gainesville in March, so we did not make the field for Pro Eliminator.  We went out in the first round of Eliminator.

We won our first round of Street Eliminator with an impressive number, but we went out in the 2nd round with a pass that was too slow because our first 60 foot time was off due to wet spark plugs.

It was another safe and successful weekend for Team Half Fast!

See you in June!
