Bowling Green, Kentucky September 29-30, 2007

American Motorcycle Racing Association (AMRA) National Event

Bowling Green’s Beech Bend Raceway in Kentucky is a great facility and we had a great time!

The Maus had to stay home and work this weekend, but Chip went to Bowling Green in September and was joined by Nate Thompson of Super V Cycles.  They had a great time AND Chip went some rounds – all the way to the semi-finals in BOTH fields!

In the Eliminator class (E), Chip won his first round when his opponent red-lit.  For the 2nd round, Chip had a bye run and ran an 11.55 for the automatic win.  Round 3, the semifinals, it was Chip’s turn to red-light and then he ran an 11.35 against his 11.50 dial-in for the loss.

In Street Eliminator (SE – the 11.50 index class), Chip won the first round with an 11.670.  For the second round, Chip had a good reaction time (.031) and ran an 11.552 for the win.  For the semi-finals, he cut a decent reaction time of .122 against Bill Draffin’s .183, and Chip broke out (you guessed it – we finally hooked and got a stunning 60-foot).  It was a fantastic race, Bill, and you really ran your number!  Good going!!
